Greg Patterson has a new post up on Espresso Pundit…
http://www.espressopundit.com/2010/08/unfit-to-serve.html#comments
Greg makes his case for why he is NOT voting for Andrew Thomas and IS voting for Tom Horne.
The sentiments expressed are echoed by long-time conservatives across the state. These people understand Tom Horne is not a closet Democrat. He is very much like many others of his generation who grew up in homes and areas where the Democratic party was very different than what it is now. They also understand the reality of just who is Andrew Thomas.
Tom Horne served for years as a Republican, has fought the fight against Ethnic Studies and Bilingual Education, took the state to the highest court in the land when Napolitano & Goddard refused to combat the huge costs of illegal immigration in our schools.
Horne is a highly ethical, professional and accomplished attorney with the skills, experience, and the ability to serve this state well.
As for Thomas…well as Greg put it…
… this is the only time that I have found a nice guy who is bright, isn’t overtly corrupt, understands the issues and is generally with me but whose judgment is so bad that I would vote for any other candidate.”

Lisa James/Molly Pitcher/Ann,
I sure hope the RINOs you are working for are paying you really well to bash conservatives on this blog all day long, because it is taking a toll on your reputation. Lisa James = #1 conservative basher in Arizona’s blogosphere. You must be so proud.
Larry
Dear Larry…
Another “just in case you missed it”….

Molly,
Thanks, and for the record AGAIN everyone, Lisa James does NOT write or submit anything to this blog. So please do NOT bring her name up.
Thanks All
DSW is never going to admit the identity of anyone who writes for his blog. The fact that this disclaimer was obtained, then trotted out here again so quickly, speaks volumes.
I think Molly Pitcher is Jeff Vath.
Greg Patterson is friends with a few select RINOs who despise Thomas. No surprise that one or more of them has twisted his arm into writing this piece. He sure puts his face and name out there on the line for a lot of sleazy characters. It will take its toll eventually. I don’t read his blog anymore, it’s decreased greatly in popularity over its hey day a few years ago. Why read that RINO garbage when you can go to Sonoran Alliance and read (mostly) conservative news.
DeAnn you are killing me. You guys are hilarious!
Horne is pro-amnesty, pro-abortion, pro-gay rights — which is why he’s desperately attacking Thomas in every media outlet available. People just aren’t buying him. And Greg Patterson has said he’s a friend of Horne’s in the past. The post by Patterson was no shocker.
So Greg Patterson has come out of the closet as Horne supporter…hhmmm…I wonder if Greg has anything else to come out of the closet for?
As conservatives, we are supposed to be for LIMITED government.
We are supposed to be wary of police power being used to suppress dissent.
I fail to understand why a person would be charactized as a “RINO” for having problems with the way Andrew Thomas runs his office. It is possible to agree with the man 100% politically and yet also realize he is a horrible lawyer and quite possibly ethically bankrupt.
I am more in line with the stated beliefs of Andrew Thomas than I am with Tom Horne. Yet, I’m voting for Horne because I think he’s a better lawyer and more ethical than Thomas. I bet there are other who feel this way as well.
Yep, Steve. You are correct. Instead of beating up the messenger, you state what most will not admit: Thomas is a nice guy that most of us agree with on the principles, but he is morally bankrupt.
Tom Horne has my vote…for the first time.
I have been doing my research and I really believe that 2006 will be the last time I voted for Andrew Thomas. The Espresso guy is right when he says “this is the only time that I have found a nice guy who is bright, isn’t overtly corrupt, understands the issues and is generally with me but whose judgment is so bad that I would vote for any other candidate.”
Andrew your judgment in the past four years has been really bad. There is no doubt that you have made yourself totally unelectable. We might just as well hand over the AG’s office to the Democrats if you win the Primary.
Greg can vote for whoever he wants, but I’m voting for Andrew Thomas. Horne carries too much baggage.
