Dr. Paul Gosar Holds Commanding Lead in CD1 Republican Primary

New poll shows Dr. Paul Gosar at 30% in crowded field

(Prescott, AZ) Today, the Gosar for Congress campaign released a poll showing Dr. Paul Gosar holding a commanding lead in the Congressional District One Republican Primary.  In the poll, Dr. Paul Gosar receives 30% of the vote from those likely to vote in the upcoming Primary Election.

“Washington, D.C. and Ann Kirkpatrick are out of touch with the American people,” said Dr. Paul Gosar. “Our message of securing our border, opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants and stopping the out-of-control spending by the federal government is resonating with the voters of District One.”

In a head to head match-up between Dr. Paul Gosar and his seven primary opponents, Dr. Paul Gosar holds a significant lead days before early voting begins in Arizona.

Gosar - Poll

Dr. Paul Gosar recently received the endorsement of Governor Sarah Palin.  Governor Palin joins a growing list of supporters that includes:  Sheriffs Joe Arpaio, Paul Babeu, and Joe Richards as well as former NRA President Bob Corbin, Arizona Right To Life, conservative radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt, Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife and over a thousand voters from Congressional District One.

The poll was conducted by Moore Information – www.moore-info.com. To receive a complete copy of the poll or to request an interview with Dr. Paul Gosar, please contact J.P. Twist at 602-689-7647 or JP@GosarforCongress.com.

This has “fake” written all over it. None of the figures are given. I suppose if Paul doesn’t know the constitution, I shouldn’t expect him to understand how polling works. No one says how many people were polled, or how many of those people have the last name of Gosar. This must be the result of the push-pull we’ve been getting calls about. Slamming Hay and Beauchamp if you say you’ll vote for them. Nice try, Paul. Across the district, Paul isn’t even discussed. It’s Beauchamp and Hay, heads up. Pack up your toys, it’s time to go home and drill teeth, Paul.

  2. Concerned Voter says:

I agree with “Me” above because any ‘poll’ released by the campaign manager of a campaign, without knowing when, where, or how this poll was conducted, or how many participated in this poll, is very suspicious! I also agree that Paul Gosar is not even being discussed by the voters that I’ve come in contact with and I am a very ‘engaged’ voter in this primary season.

  3. Joe the Plumber says:

Reminds me of the Waring poll, you remember the one where he had 51% of the vote.

    What a joke.

  4. Me says:

Good call, Joe. Is Waring still running for something? Or did they just hand him the election for having such a “commanding lead.”

When the Cavity Creeps come to attack, I’ll remember Paul’s name. In the meantime, I’ll stick with people willing to campaign from outside of a press release.

  5. J.P. Twist says:

    To All:

While some may think these results are “fake” I can assure you, they are not.

The poll was conducted from July 22-23,2010 by Moore Information.

There were 300 participants in the survey, all of which are likely GOP Primary Voters in CD1.

If you are a member of the press, I will be happy to send a complete copy of the survey results for your review.

I would also like to remind everyone that we are all in this together. While we may disagree on the best Republican to support, at least we can all agree that Kirkpatrick needs to go. We MUST come together on August 25th and support the nominee. Only together will we be able defeat Pelosi’s puppet.

    Thank you,

  6. Popeye says:

She most certainly needs to go. And I dont mean just run away from a public forum. Maybe Brad Beauchamp can give her a “Get out of Jail Free” card. Didn’t know ‘constitutional scholars’ had those – I just thought scum sucking trial lawyers did. hmmm……Thats just what we need! ELECT ANOTHER LAWYER TO CONGRESS VOTE FOR BEAUCHAMP!!!!! Frankly, I’d rather have Gosar give me a no-novicaine root canal than elect another lawyer to anything. Is it safe….?

  7. Craig says:

Actually, by the look of things, “Don’t Know” has the commanding lead, with Gosar trailing by double digits.

  8. Liberal Paul Gosar is beating Hay? Very doubtful, i think Joe had it right, sure smells like a Waring poll to me.

  9. Allan Samuels says:

Money and hype can not win this primary. I believe that it will be either Bowers or Beauchamp, both are way ahead in a NEUTRAL poll.

  10. Ron says:

It was a PUSH poll! Gosar got called out on it by all the other candidates! It’s been documented.
Poller: “Hello, who are you supporting in the CD 1 race?”
    Voter: “Rusty Bowers”
Poller: “Would you still support Bowers if you knew he lived in Virginia and was an evil lobbyist?”
    Voter: “Gosh, I guess not!”
Poller: “Well then, you should support Paul Gosar, because he drills teeth for a living, blah blah blah….”

  11. Ron says:

    GOSAR is a liar!

  12. Ron says:

Oh, and thanks to JP for giving the name of the Poll company. Since they didn’t say “Paid for by Gosar for Congress” the FEC is going to have an easier time investigating!!!

  13. Stephen Kohut says:

Unless the polling data and basis are publiclly available and from a reputable firm it is worth as much as a warm bucket of spit.

  14. Mark T. says:

I don’t really understand why the Gosar camp would lie about this. I think all of you are a little ridiculous for accusing him of something like that. It’s one thing to say you like another candidate but to accuse a fellow republican of lying to the public is a bit crazy.

What more info do you require? You have the company they used to take the poll. The universe they used and what question they asked. Besides, why would they want to release the entire poll? Why let the Dems or other candidates in the race see the results? Polls drive messaging and I’m sure it’s important not to let your opponents see your hand days before early voting starts.

Seems pretty clear cut to me…

Either way, I guess we will see if they are right soon enough.

To be fair I really don’t care who wins in CD1. Just as long as they defeat Kirkpatrick.

  15. AZDryheat says:

Everywhere Sarah Palin has endorsed, that candidate has surged. This doesn’t surprise me at all.

  16. Beauchump says:

Nice to see “Ron” (Brad, admit it, it’s you!) so deep in denial. The truth is what it is: Paul Gosar has raised the most money, he is leading the polls, and is working the hardest. Everyone with a smidgen of common sense recognizes Paul Gosar is the only one able to beat Kirkpatrick. You can lie to yourself all you want, “Ron” and Ron’s twin “me” but you are backing a loser. At least have the fortitude to admit that instead of making false accusations.

  17. Ron says:

“Beauchump” you have no clue who I am or what I know….this whole thing is actually kind of laughable…A push poll (do you even know what that is??) is not a real poll. And only 300 people (the vast majority over 65) polled?Where did they live?? What counties?? By a poll company that has never worked CD 1 before?? Get real….If you think that you’ll get truthful data out of a campaign that Max Fose runs, you ARE nuts!

  18. Mark T. says:

    “Ron”

Why are you making accusations that Gosar did a Push Poll? Do you have any proof? And please don’t give your lame attempt at a recap that you did earlier. Obviously that is completely fake…

Not to mention, you obviously don’t have a clue what a push poll really is yourself. The Gosar camp has stated very clearly what question was asked!

“When asked, If the Republican Primary election for Congress was held today and the
candidates were (RANDOMIZE 1-8), for whom would you vote?”

THAT IS NOT A PUSH POLL!!!!

Unless you have solid proof, please stop spreading your lies around.

    Mark

  19. Concerned in Pinal says:

In all my years, I have never been more embarrassed for a campaign as I do Dr.Gosar’s Campaign even promoting/publishing/pushing such obtusely skewed numbers as this poll. Dr. Gosar should know better, as he is required to learn and study such ‘heavily weighted’, statistically (way, way too) signifigant (or is it?)data in “Becomming a Doctor 101″.
This is a painful slap in the face to GOP voters in CD1, and a pathetic attempt by Gosar’s campaign to think that we are stupid enough to believe these blatently overweighted numbers.
Where can I get a paid job to poll/publish such unethical numbers and still have my job??? OH ya- political advisor for Gosar.

  20. Dave Schmidt says:

From the RNCC numbers I’ve seen, Tom Zaleski is tied with Hay and gaining

  21. Slotback says:

Craig got it right: “Don’t know” won the result of this “poll.” If Gosar eventually wins the nomination, it will be because he can say anything he wants about the other candidates, most of whom don’t have the funds to dispute his dishonest claims. Gosar’s campaign is based attacks on the other candidates, and on a list of endorsements, since he has no conservative record.

  22. David says:

    Hey “Me”

How to do you feel about your stupid comments now – “it’s Beauchamp and Hay – heads up” Looks like the real polls are in now. Don’t cry too hard as you pack up your toys and crawl back in your hole!

  23. yikes says:

    FYI
If Gosar handles the district affairs the way he handled his dental practice we are in TROUBLE! Watch out!!!

  24. Commonsensor says:

The choice now is Gosar or Kirkpatrick, regardless of your favorite. Does anybody recall the scene in the movie “Blazing Saddles” in which the new sheriff was introduced to the town? The antics we have seen in past electitons amongst conservatives reflect the manner in which the sheriff extricated himself from the situation. Don’t pull a Blazing Saddles!
