State’s Largest Tea Party Group Endorses AZ African-American
Congressional Candidate; Demands NAACP President End Smear Campaign Against Freedom-Loving Citizens
Phoenix, AZ – Project 2010, the largest organization of affiliated Tea Parties in Arizona, voted last week to endorse Vernon Parker over Ben Quayle, son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, in the hotly contested Third Congressional District to replace John Shadegg.
Parker, who has been a Presidential advisor, a “Fiscal Hawk” as mayor and a pastor, is African American.
Today, Parker blasted the ridiculous attempt by the NAACP President Ben Jealous to smear Tea Party members: “Racists don’t endorse African American’s for Congress, but that’s exactly what the Arizona 2010 Project, Tea Party, did when they endorsed me. It’s shameful for elitists like Ben Jealous, who take their orders from the White House and use race to try and divide America. It is wrong, and our citizens should demand better from these so-called leaders,” Parker said.

Parker, the first African-American mayor in Paradise Valley’s history, is now running to be the first African-American to serve Arizona in the U.S. Congress. Parker previously served as General Counsel of a major federal Agency, then in the White House as Special Assistant to President George H. W. Bush. Later, Parker was nominated by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate, as an Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Agriculture. What Ben Jealous fails to understand is that Parker’s life story – growing up poor, pulling himself up through hard work and education – is embraced by the citizens who created the Tea Party movement.
Parker, the first African-American mayor or councilman in Paradise Valley’s history is now seeking to be the first African-American to serve Arizona in the U.S. Congress. He is currently waging a formidable campaign to replace the popular John Shadegg, who has decided to retire after many years of outstanding service to the Third Congressional District.
Parker previously served as General Counsel of a major federal Agency, then in the White House as Special Assistant to President George H. W. Bush. Later, Parker was nominated by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed with bipartisan support by the United States Senate, as an Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Agriculture.
A small businessman, Parker also served as a pastor for two years at a small non-denominational church in Paradise Valley. He is a graduate of Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C., where he met his wife, Lisa, a second generation Arizonan.
Parker will take his message of cutting taxes, border security and creating policies that help the private sector create jobs to the nation’s capitol. His campaign theme is “Restoring Faith in America”.

The NAACP statement does not say the tea party movement is racist, it demands that the tea party movement repudiate racist and homophobic elements within it. The fact that these elements exists in the tea part movement is well documented. Does Parker think the tea party movement shouldn’t repudiate the racists and homophobes within its ranks?

Race baiting has been very good to Vernon B. Parker
The NAACP needs to check itself before it pulls the splinter out of their brothers eye.
I have attended some tea party events and never saw racism. Of course, Parker wouldn’t know racism if it jumped up and bit him on the ass accoding to the coalition of minority employees at the USDA:

I am sure the NAACP would love to know that Taser International backs Vernon too. Bwhahaha.
@6, you know that’s a union right? Go to their website, it’s a crock.

………..
Yuh? Well documented? Linky please, mucho linkys.
Like the way the media with full malice, edited out the Arizona black dude away from his gun and then claimed threatening white racists, the media liars staring into the camera and LYING to the public?
And Breitbart has dozens of videos of the very peculiar Democratic March thru the crowd, which then voila! was followed by the Democrat Party accusations of vile behavior, with nothing untoward in ANY of said videos, and STILL Brietbart’s got that $100,000 to anyone with a video or audio that substantiates the accusations – and no takers. On one video we all could see Jesse Jackson’s son VIDEOTAPING, small world, eh? HE didn’t get anything or we ALL would have heard about it and he’d been $100,000 richer.
YOU are promoting unfounded, very damaging RUMORS and ugly propaganda.
If no one has engaged in this behavior WHY should they “repudiate it?” We’re not yet at the communist stage where people are browbeaten into false confessions to please the political overlords.
No, we’re in AMERICA, where according to our laws, people are INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. And being tried, convicted and pillored in the duplicitous MEDIA isn’t proof of guilt, it’s political hackery and demonization.
wanumba – so typical of you. You are unaware of something so that means it must not be true. Not only that, but rather than put a minimum of effort into looking into something you simply fling wild accusations around.
I was not even talking about the events in Washington in which people were spit on (video documented) called ‘faggot’ (video documented) or called racial epitaphs (based on several eye witness accounts, including third parties). Now if you want to make the standard of truth whether someone got video of something that is quite a reach but somehow I doubt you, or that crazy loon Breitbart, will apply that standard equally.
There are in fact many sources which have documented racist elements within the tea party. One who has collected such is Charles Johnson, no shrieking liberal, and has also called the tea party movement out.
http://bit.ly/b2Pj1c
PS. Your final paragraph is complete gooblygook. No one is being charged with a crime and the media is not a judicial body.
There is NO “video documented” of the accusations and there’s been at least one public backpedal of an identified accuser- no video confirmation and a DOZEN videos showing no such thing.
Are you truly not aware of the disintigrating process of this fiasco? A $100,000 easy money is NOT something to pass up. No takers. LOTS of people had video cameras that day – and USED them. We’ve seen THOSE videos. Lots of them, from various angles. They have been posted on the internet. If such terms were ACTUALLY said, they would have been captured by SOMEONE. Nothing. Just lies, repeated over and over in the hopes some will stick.
Invoking the also disintigrating Charles Johnson at this point in time is ridiculous, ESPECIALLY given the Miss Prissy accusations you are parroting against Tea Partiers. Johnson has chased away long-time civil posters in favor of a stable of foul-mouthed syncophants, and has been dumped off many a once-supportive blog link list, whereapon he lashes out in what uncomfortably resembles drunken rants against bloggers who no longer consider him a reliable source in any measure.
Wanumba , if i point to
Wanumba , if i point to regular media outlets you will claim they are biased, if i point you to a non-liberal blogger who has been tracking such things you claim he is unreliable. Does it have to show up on newsmax to believe it?
There is documentation of the spitting and the homophobic statements. However, i have pointed you to a source with many links which have nothing to do with those incidents. Frankly, i hope the tea party doesn’t repudiate any of these elements since it will only damage the movement, as will its insistence on talking about the constitution and other matters that most are largely ill-informed of.

…….
I won’t have to CLAIM they are biased, it’s PROVED, on the record that they manufacture news,a dn they’ve been caught out on it numerous times.
I watched Dan Rather LIE, bald-faced, staged LIE about Chinese censorship during Tianneman Square – that was YEARS before Dan Rather’s patently false memos manufactured to hurt Bush’s re-election campaign – which we have CHarles Johnson to thank for exposing in two seconds flat via a simple graphic – in Charles’ early lucid days of blogging.
I saw ABC’s Food Lion, union-coordinated fraud, NBC’s FAKE SURVEILLANCE video of Felix Block’s “spy drop.” A piece of staged theatrical film fraud passed of as legit by a so-called NEWS division. The faked fuel tank explosions, the faked “acid rain” fish kills.
That’s a trifecta – ABC, NBC and CBS. CNN admitted to covering up Saddam’s atrocities so they could keep their bureau in Bagdad. For what? THey sat silent, hiding the truth as Sean Penn sniffed and blurbled and boo-hooed his way thru a guided propraganda tour. Last month I watched a CNN reporter interview someone I know and totally twist the message, not even close – just a cynical edit job to use the prestige of that person without conveying the person’s expert opinion so that the reporter could present his own idea, his pet theory which was totally oppostie of the person he chose to interview.
All that, and never once clicked on Newsmax.
WHat a narrow, close-minded world of stupid stereotypes you live in.
AN eyewitness told me this: During Joseph Garang’s funeral in SOuthern SUdan, the new autonomous government of Southern Sudan publically thanked President George Bush and the AMerican People for promoting freedom and peace in SOuthern SUdan.
HAlf of AFrica was attending, heads of state, diplomatic VIPS and the world press. Was this reported inthe USA? Nope.
Was the fact that Southern Sudan government deaclred a national holiday to celebrate Bushs’ re-election?
So. SUdan came out of over ten years of civil war, fighting against Northern aggression to force sharia Islamic law in the south. Nearly 2 million S. Sudanese were killed, four million displaced.
These people thanked BUSH for his help. They were grateful for something the US press didn’t want AMericans to know about because it didn’t fit with the false narrative they employ to promote the Democratic PArty by tearing Bush apart.
The current “established” media has NO credibility. They lie and they hide.
AZ 2010 largest TP organization? Give me a break. How about convenient GOP front.
EVERY black person in America needs to blast the NAACP. I’m glad Vernon Parker took his turn to do so. Besides, now that the NAACP has adopted Rules for Radicals, they are useless for the advancement of anyone.
Arizona Tea Party is nothing more than a GOP Tea Party front group, Sipmann is a wannabe Te Party Patriot just like Ron Ludders of AZ 2010 Project – both are self appointed with followers of like mind – they have a GOP agenda.

Which you can’t add anything to, even though they are poised to make history in 6 months.
It’s surprisingly relevent to lots of current issues:
Former Sudanese slaves, and Mauritanian slaves went to the NAACP and to the Congressional Black Caucus believing that these two organizations would be totally sympathetic to the cause of ending modern slavery of black sin Africa. They were REBUFFED, IGNORED and SHOOED away. NOT INTERESTED.
THe task of freeing Africans from slavery falls to the “White “Racist” “CHurches” as the smear goes. AS lazy Democrats get richer on taxpayer money, American Christian churches are very active in humanitarian aid in Sudan and other poor nations in Africa.
African slaves, condemned to short lives in abject poverty and overwork, cannot count for help on the the well-fed, well-dressed, well-housed, self-centered, spoiled brats of the Congressional Black Caucus or the NAACP.
So, like the media, these two groups have PROVED they have a selfish, money-grubbing agenda that isn’t about “helping black people.” They actually turned away slaves.
NOTHING they say surprises me or carries ANY credibility, not a shred of moral anything.
Can’t help but acknowledge this, but Wanumba, no. 19 is a sterling exposition that couldn’t be more to the point.
Thank you.
About that history to be made: South Sudan fought for a peace treaty (Comprehensive Peace Agreement- CPA) which the North signed, plus dozens of nations, including the USA, which provided them autonomous governance in the South and a Referendum in January 2010 – for the people of So. Sudan to vote to split and form a new nation.
It’s the biggest political story in Africa – huge excitement and interest because no country has been permitted to split since Independence. Not a peep in the US press – but this CPA became possible because of President Bush’ behind the scenes backing -millions in financing, in security and humanitarian aid.
