To do what’s best for our country, John McCain should immediately and without hesitation: (1) halt his race for the Arizona Senate seat; (2) apologize to the American people for his failed political policies—but not before endorsing and then casting his vote for JD Hayworth!

Here’s why:

(1)     Mental health requires that one submit oneself to something higher than himself, be it God, love, truth, family, country, etc.  John has a personal moral obligation and public duty to put aside his selfish political aspirations in favor of something greater than himself, that is, the greater good of our nation by supporting JD Hayworth’s ethically superior political positions.

(2)     Dr. M. Scott Peck MD, author of the best-selling The Road Less Traveled, stated that sanity “is the adherence to reality at all costs [1].” The dictates of reality; hence, sanity, require that John McCain face his political failures and accept the reality of the damage that they’ve done to our nation and way of life.  The recognition of these facts will aid the healing process of both our nation and McCain, himself.  To do otherwise would be a further continuation of his insane policies; hence, further deepening his own apparent political psychosis and consequential damage to America.
