As I have said before, I will make my decision in the Senate race about 1 week before the start of ealy voting on July 29. If whi I endorse and GOTV for matters so much to you, than just be patient.

I’ve got a rack of books on the nation’s founding and our founding fathers all of which are well read. The goal was a citizen legislature not a nearly noble officeholder. They expected citizens to seerve for a brief while and return to their lives and not to hold an unending series of politial offies. I suggest your spend more time reading publications from NCCS, the Federalist Papers, etc. and not the typical crap published as “history”.

Your top 3 items that make a “legitimate’ candidate were:

1. Your own money.
2. Other peoples’ money.
3. Celebrity status.

That is money, money and money son, which is about the size of the war chest, which got us in this mess.

Unfortunately, it’s too late to get out of the race, at least as far as removing his name off the ballot. The debates will show the emptiness of his rhetoric, unless of course McCain’s people are helping prep him for the debate! That would explain the complete absence of ANY comments ANYWHERE on ANY page, by him, Adonia or ANY supporter. Except for Stephen Kohut, who isn’t “officially” a supporter, but really is!

Jim Deakin made a point of saying he signed up before the Tea Parties. True, so if he wasn’t inspired by Rick Santelli’s famous rant, AND Obama wasn’t EVEN inaugurated, WHY did he get off his duff? I am even more suspicious that he was prompted by forces that are quite sinister and cynical. The Tea Party movement, IF they find out there are events that took place AFTER the 2008 election because McCain saw the handwriting, Jim Deakin WILL have to move out of the area, maybe to Haiti or Mexico!

Obama didn’t “come from nowhere” … research his biological father and his adopted father. Carefully learn all you can about his mother and her mother.

Obama was identified early in his life (I figure when he suddenly went from a mediocre nobody minority student at Occidental College to Columbia University – with a side trip to Pakistan at a time when no US citizen could obtain State Department permission for travel to that country.

Somehow a 20 year old transfer student from the US travels to places where no US citizen is allowed … and then winds up in Columbia University followed by Harvard???

As for Deakin? I personally think he’s waiting for the best offer he can get from either McCain (to stay in the race) or Hayworth (to get out of the race). In other words, the hero of the Tea Party is selling himself to the highest john.

No, you are patently mistaken! VV is NOT saying that. It should be a battle of ideas, and in THIS Senate race the CHOICE is extremely clear, and money doesn’t determine who we vote for. DON’T accuse VV of saying that!!

You condemn all politicians with experience, How dare you? Not ONE of our founding fathers came into the Const. Convention in 1787, telling everyone else that they don’t know what they are doing and that HE has all the answers! All the founders were INDEED experienced men of integrity, honest and had solid reputations.

Further, Trent Franks is THE most conservative Congressman, highly principled among many good men in the House. You FOOLISHLY accuse him and others of being ‘no good’. Many GOP members are doctors, businessmen, people who’ve mad payroll, etc. That “Throw all the bums out” is extremely foolish attitude, that’s way beneath your intellect!

IF you read the article by Samuel Adams, you find out much about the character of Jim Deakin. This is what makes him unfit to be in this race. By promoting Jim’s continued running in this race, you either NAIVELY believe that he will magically jump to a competitive position after the debates; OR you are a secret McCain supporter and want Jim to cost JD Hayworth the election. I’m confused. I don’t question either your intellect or character, but others might.

Your definition of a “legitimate” candidate is the old song that we should vote for the one that can gather the biggest war chest. Exactly how do you think the country got into its current mess? Yep, by doing exactly that. It that is your determination for who to support and vote for then don’t expect any change in government. This nation was founded on citizen elected officials who were not well compensated for their service. We need “experienced” politicians in office like a drunk “needs” another drink. The solutions are not from in the beltway more of the same folks. The solutions will come from people who deal with and live in the real world and not the political class bubble of government.

What gets me is the arrogance of those like Deakin who think they can jump into politics and are entitled to start at the top. Instead of paying his dues like the rest of us, and running for state legislature or some other lower political office first, he thinks he should get to sail to the top office in the state. To those of us who have worked tirelessly in the trenches for years, it comes across as the epitome of arrogance.

Obama did it!

Obama was basically a low-level, left-wing organizer/agitator that, thanks in part to John McCain’s support by calling him “a good family man,” was able to disarm America’s early warning fear radar and fool the public into trusting him–no sane American would vote a socialist/communist into power!

Thanks McCain! Great genius political work!

Now, here’s Deakin’s strategy:

Hope that McCain defeats JD in the primaries.

Stay on the ballot.

When it comes time to vote, people look at the ballot and see McCain and Deakin.

People say, “no way on McCain. I’ll go for this other guy!”

Voila!

1. Your own money.
2. Other peoples’ money.
3. Celebrity status.
4. Work your way up.

Deakin fits into none of the above categories. He’s just prancing about Arizona pretending to be a *legitimate* Senate candidate – which is his not.

Lets see, he can’t win. So he’s not in the race to win cause, well, he can’t.

And if he causes the Perot Effect and McCain wins, his future in Arizona is quite dim. That is unless someone somewhere is or has offered him something of value to remain in his hopeless campaign.

Now… who do you suppose stands to gain from all this? And who do you suppose would resort to this kind of insurance policy because if he wasn’t a US Senator, well … gee, he’d be just another kept man married to money.

The only qualification required to run for Senate are citizenship, age and a couple of thousand signatures. That’s it son. Nothing else. Do that and you are a legitimate, qualified candidate. Don’t like it? Get the law changed.

Regarding the candidates, I post based on my observations of them, their actions, positions, statements, etc. and, where I take issue, I make it known as I have regarding McCain and JD. My issues with McCain and JD far outway those with Deakin and my posts on the Senate race reflect that.

You keep talking about the debates and the following poll, as if there exists the possibility that Deakin will prove his ‘bonafides’ and ‘outshine’ the two real candidates. One can only wonder about your undying commitment to Jim that you and Sassia have over at Pinal County 912 Tea Party website.

I read a post where someone described the 4 real ‘ways’ someone can run for a statewide office. 1. Your own money, like Fiorina, Whitman or Bloomberg; 2. Other peoples’ money who have bought your soul, like McCain. (High priced ‘hooker’) 3. Celebrity status, like sports figure or broadcaster, like Hayworth or Chris Dudley in Oregon. 4. Work your way up, like going through the farm system. You prove your legislative and leadership skills, your ability to work with people. Pray tell, Stephen, WHICH way does Jim Deakin qualify for?

Do you recall that “Ladders.com” commercial where a bunch of fans at a tennis match congregate on the tennis court, WITHOUT any skills, understanding, let alone ability? This reminds me of Jim.

I find it surprising (not really)that you claim to be ‘uncommitted’ yet you NEVER point out any problems with Deakin, and you HAVE done so about both McCain and Hayworth.

Or how about the crook and carpetbagger Rick Renzi blowing in on the wind from Fairfax VA with lots of Franklin’s and making himself a “native” of CD1 (that was a crock)

Jim Deakin has *none* of the support or money required to even toss out the opening pitch of the playoffs much less be a major league starter.
