Nice stats you’re referencing for JD’s record on immigration. But not so fast!

How is that a Democrat, Ann Kirkpatrick, can get an A- rating while JD gets a C+ rating, and Ann didn’t do anything on a majority of the issues?

I suppose if JD failed to Act or wasn’t assigned a grade, like Jim Deakin, he’d come out like the liberal Ann Kirkpatrick with an A- rating!

Sure, there were areas that JD could have scored higher on but during the Dotcom boom, the economy was different and better and having some mission critical foreign nurses on work permits wasn’t the same as endorsing illegal immigration or amnesty through comprehensive immigration reform.

Look at the context of the situation in the late 1990′s because the situation has changed from then, dramatically, since JD’s been in office with the advent of 911 terrorism and the Great Recession.

JD’s position going forward is clear as a bell. You can read it in his book “Whatever it Takes…”

The Grassroots movement in America wants less government. Look at this bill and its progressive increases in federal employees in multiple areas stepped over five years – wouldn’t you think at year two or three there would be no need to add more judges and lawyers and etc., this is Tea Party material?

And Hayworth voted for No Child Left Behind and the Patriot Act – yea as Howard Dean would yell – let’s send him back.

This certainly proves that Deakin is a McCain plant in my book! For a McCain sycophant, who must love the power McCain wields, in a very abusive manner, threatening ANYONE who does not kow-tow to his bullying (like JD Hayworth); to support Deakin shows to me two clear ideas. 1. McCain does NOT fear Deakin because he IS SO unqualified 2. John feared JD so much that he ‘recruited’ a “rightwing nutjob” to attack JD from what many would call “the lunatic fringe”.

McCain has been going after JD Hayworth with all the ferocity of a mother bear protecting her cubs. Maybe HE thinks it’s HIS seat like Teddy boy thought about his Massachusetts seat, before Scott Brown proved otherwise.

BUT this started a decade ago. First example: controlling the redistricting commission so that JD’s district suddenly included ASU campus, not a hotbed of conservatism. Second, getting Dept of Justice to investigate JD’s connection with Abramoff AFTER the 2006, costing him $500K in legal fees with nothing to show except JD’s Debt. Third, forcing KFYI to shut JD up with a despicable FEC complaint that was unanimously rejected by ALL 6 members of the bi-partisan commission.

Finally, running all the vicious, lying deceptive ads that are so over-the-top, that even his friendly TV stations have to question them to maintain SOME semblance of credibility. McCain’s henchmen will even photograph JD’s supporters! Perhaps to target them for attacks!? That will be the McCain legacy, petty, vindictive and couldn’t care less about Arizona!

Me: Walt, JD didn’t get into specifics. What I think he was getting at was that States need to empower local law enforcement with the tools to aid in ridding themselves of illegals. I don’t think he was mentioning anything pertaining to federal law enforcement changes. Yes, those laws are more encompassing and less encumbering.

The problem with your suggestion with the GOP leadership and monetary funders lies in the fact that in Arizona, these are the folks who would be hit by its enforcement.

Until this state acquires leadership which can think and act on a long term basis and lose its “bed and breakfast” business mentality and cheap, unskilled labor addiction, we’ll be headed for the California abyss!

To implement a SB1070 type law on the Fed’s would make their life more difficult. What I don’t quite understand is why law enforcement doesn’t explain how this law actually raises the threshold for state law enforcement to enforce immigration laws. Peoples rights are more protected know than before or they will be after July.

The way to stop illegal immigration is simple but it seems no one has the political will. Secure the borders, prosecute those employers that knowingly hire illegal aliens and fully fund E-Verify.

Me: Name one case of corruption. There aren’t any. NONE. JD Hayworth hawking information on how to get grants is not corruption. I can show you private, flim-flam universities that charge $1,000 a credit for three credit classes for a suspect college degree that’ll cost you $80K+ and is of little worth.

As far as failures, “the man who never falls never stands up.” Any normal human being has successes and failures. I rather see JD’s campaign as a case of “you can’t keep a good man down.”

I picture the Arizona voter remembering how McCain’s Charlotte-type willingness to roll over to the socialist gradualism of compromise with the Democrats led to a vote for Obamao. Thanks, McCain, for not fighting for the presidency. Thanks for Maobama!
