John Munger is apparently dropping out of the Governor’s race. Reportedly, he’s stating that matching funds surviving constitutional challenges is the reason why he’s dropping out.

Next to announce? The Dean Martin for Governor campaign, AKA the biggest political FAIL of 2010. A man who had every issue advantage and blew it by disappearing from all sight this past six months – leaving Brewer to rehabilitate herself unimpeded.
I want my five bucks back, Martin. No, seriously.
John Munger: No Leadership, Plenty of Excuses
Reality – May you never have the last 6 months that Dean Martin has had. Hopefully, you’re just stupid and not heartless.
Nice try, Travis, but leave the emotionalism to the Democrats. First, your timeline is off. Second, using your logic, Martin should, and will, be elected in a landslide — despite absolutely no campaigning on his part, right?
Reality,
Dean HAS been campaigning. His calendar is jam packed and he speaks to groups all over the state every day of the week. He just hasn’t done media (TV and radio ads, mailers, signs) yet. His signs are ready to go and can be put up the instant he is certified for his Clean Elections funding.
Seems like he surrounded himself with the wrong people. He could have been a great candidate.
Dean would be a great governor, and should have waited until 2014 to run, and still should.
However, to beat an incumbent in a primary is tough unless they really screw up. (when it does happen its a big story as we have seen this year in a few cases) Its even tougher to beat a governor who’s name is in the national news every day. You can’t buy that type of publicity.
Jan Brewer is stil refusing to debate bona fide Primary candidates. This is a huge disservice to all Arizona voters.
Reality – You answered my question. You’re heartless AND stupid.
I used your timeline. I know when his wife and new baby died. I just couldn’t tell if you knew anything.
Perhaps you’ve never had to begin life again after such a tragedy, but some of us have. It’s not emotionalism, you idiot, it’s life. These are people who have lives outside of their public service that affect the things they do. You don’t live in reality if you think otherwise.
I am sure the Clean Elections enforcement people will appreciate this line:
“His signs are ready to go and can be put up the instant he is certified for his Clean Elections funding.”
Uh, if true that means he is either accepting illegal corporate in-kind contributions, or he is spending money he doesn’t have.
Peeved,
You’re a moron and it’s disgusting that you have the right to vote. You should be disenfranchised…PERMANENTLY.
You think Dean just threw away his signs from previous campaigns? They’re sitting at his house. His current campaign has to buy the signs off his old campaign under Clean Elections law. Once he gets certified, he slaps stickers on the old signs that state he’s running for governor and he puts them up. THAT is how Dean’s “signs are ready to go and can be put up the instant he is certified for his Clean Elections funding.” He hasn’t accepted a dime of “illegal corporate in-kind contributions” and he’s not “spending money he doesn’t have.”
Please, Peeved, refrain from voting this election cycle. You’re clearly too dumb to make wise choices. I also suggest you voluntarily submit to sterilization so you don’t infect the population with your genetic stupidity.
