The first priest articulated the two problems, drug and crime and resident illegal workers, which are two sides of the illegal coin. He when asked what McCain’s message was, replied that McCain was talking secure the border, that the “comprehensive immigration reform” is not the number one, so the priest seems to be for “comprehensive reform” but he’s stating the situation fair enough.

So, lack of movement on “amnesty” is the “emergency.”

That Irish guy is an idiot. Richard O’Keefe? He said people were already leaving, and that more will leave under “repression.” “Worse” thing he’s ever seen. Grow up. They’ve taken a bit of time to pick out a destination, and are packing their bags in an orderly manner and moving. If they had gotten a job in another state and packed their bags, pulled their kids out of school and moved like millions of Americans do every month, legal and illegal, it would be totally unremarkable. As it is, the law has enough of a grace period, families have until AFTER school lets out in May/June to finish up their kids’ school year normally and enroll them in some other school for September. This guy is practically traumatized-by-association.

WE were forced by a work transfer to pull our kids out of school in West AFrica in February and split the family for the spring sesmester to let one finish his school year in India while the others finished their school year in the USA,
while we located a house to live in, then brought the family together in September – visas, residency permits, the WORKS – to India. To describe it as a tri-continent, tri-lingual (French-English-Hindu), tri-bureaucratic pain in the neck is an understatement, so to hear this guy trying to wring tears over one of the simplest moving arrangements around is ridiculous.

Get a grip you wimp. How much of a sacrifice was it for you to leave Ireland for foreign AZ? Shopping malls, schools, air conditioning, swimming pools, world’s most beuatiful scenary, lovely parks, CHEAPER than Ireland and ENgland… He don’t know much if this is the “worst” he’s seen. He should review the Nigerian expulsion of illegal AND LEGAL Ghanian workers – over a million booted out in a WEEK’s time, and BOOT, with a beating, is the word.

Enough with the hysterics. Especially unbecoming from a male.
