CD-3′s Pamela Gorman Launches Mother’s Day Money Bomb!

As one of the leading conservative voices in Arizona, Pamela Gorman has been a consistent supporter and proponent of key principles of limited government, lower taxes, and personal freedom.

Her years in the Arizona Senate, and prior years in the Arizona House of Representatives, are marked with constant and unbending commitment to conservative policy. She worked to pass one of the largest tax cuts to Arizona families, while standing against even her own party to defeat the largest tax increase in Arizona history. Pamela has led efforts to cut wasteful spending by both parties and has been an outspoken opponent of pork barrel spending in the state budgets.

While many were satisfied to simply “get out a budget”, Senator Gorman was pushing hard for real reforms in the way state government does business. She insisted on greater transparency and regular audits of the state agencies that spend your hard-earned tax dollars. Pamela’s goals were to force the state to operate within its means, and to run efficiently with full accountability to its shareholders, who are the Arizona taxpayers.

She also has a proven conservative record of not just supporting, but leading on important social issues of traditional values, 2nd amendment rights, and the sanctity of life. Pamela Gorman is committed to doing what is right, not what is easy. She has been steadfast throughout her political career in standing for the principles and values we share and will continue to do so when elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Pamela is a firm believer that parenting is both a privilege and an important responsibility and that parents must have their rights protected from government encroachment. She and her 14-year-old son, Ryan, live in Anthem and attend Calvary Community Church.

Martin challenges Mills’ incoherent border security plan

Once again, Buz Mills does not seem to have a grasp of the issues.  At today’s candidate forum, Martin went after Buz Mills on his continuing flip-flopping on the issues.  Today it was border security.

Ranchers Beware! – Email Prompts Attention

This morning I received an alarming email that has been making the rounds over the last few days. As a skeptic of viral emails, I’m going to “air” this on Sonoran Alliance because I believe we have enough readers and authorities who know more details about the situation. As the controversy escalates over SB 1070, I have to caution how much fact is part of this email and how much may be an attempt to escalate even further. Perhaps our readers can help qualify and clarify fact from fiction. Here is the email:

I received this e-mail from a friend and fellow resident of Santa Cruz County. He is trustworthy and honest.  I believe the content to be true. It gives me great cause for concern.  I have sent a copy of this to Senator Kyl’s office and Senator McCain. Unfortunately McCain must be contacted through a mail “form” and it’s questionable if anyone will read it.

Forwarded to me by a friend who recently retired from border patrol………

As you know, one of the local ranchers was murdered in Douglas two weeks ago. His funeral is tomorrow. I received three messages similar to the one below from different officers within the Rangers and law enforcement.

Yesterday afternoon I talked to another rancher near us who is a friend of ours and whose great grandfather started their ranch here in 1880.  These are good people.

He told me what really happened out at the Krentz ranch and what you won’t read in the papers.  The Border Patrol is afraid of starting a small war between civilians here and the drug cartels in Mexico.

Bob Krentz was checking his water like he does every evening and came upon an illegal who was lying on the ground telling him he was sick.  Bob called the Border Patrol and asked for a medical helicopter evac.  As he turned to go back to his ATV he was shot in the side.  The round came from down and angled up so they know the shooter was on the ground. Bob’s firearm was in the ATV so he had no chance.

Wounded he called the Cochise County Sherriff and asked for help.  Bleeding in the lungs he called his brother but the line was bad so he called his wife but again the line was bad.  Several ranchers heard the radio call and drove to his location. Bob was dead by this time.  The ranchers tracked the shooter 8 miles back towards Mexico and cornered him in a brushy draw.  This was all at night. The Sherriff and Border Patrol arrived and told them not to go down and engage the murderer.  They went around to the back side and if you can believe it the assassin managed to get by a BP helicopter and a Sherriff’s posse and back to Mexico.  So much for professional help when you need it.

One week before the murder Bob and his brother Phil (who I shoot with) hauled a huge quantity of drugs off the ranch that they found in trucks.

One week before that a rancher near Naco did the same thing. Two nights later gangs broke into his ranch house and beat him and his wife and told them that if they touched any drugs they found they would come back and kill them.  The ranchers here deal with cut fences and haul drug deliveries off their ranches all the time. What ranchers think is that the drug cartels beat the one rancher and shot Bob because they wanted to send a message.  Bob always gave food and water to illegals and so they think they sent the assassin to pose as an illegal who was hungry and thirsty knowing it would catch Bob off guard.

What is going on down here is NOT being reported.  You need to tell people how bad it is along the border.  Texas is worse.  Near El Paso it’s in a state of war.  5000 people were killed in Ciudad Juarez last year and it’s over 2000 so far this year.  Gun sales down here are through the roof and I get emails from people wanting firearms training.

Something has to be done but I don’t hold out much hope. These gangs have groups in almost every city in the US.  Please read below. This is serious business. The Barrio Azteca and their sub gangs are like Mexican Corporations and organized extremely well.  If this doesn’t get dealt with down here you guys will deal with it on your streets.

Thomas Faults 4 Democrat AG Opponents For Opposing SB1070; Pledges Aggressive Defense In Court

Former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas ONLY Attorney General Candidate Supporting Senate Bill 1070; Pledging Aggressive Defense Of Law

PHOENIX, ARIZONA April 26, 2010. There are five candidates for Arizona Attorney General but only one supports SB 1070, helped author it and will enthusiastically defend it in court.

“I am effectively running against four Democrats. The Republican in name only, Tom Horne, does not support this bill and it would be disingenuous for him to suggest he does while simultaneously advocating amnesty and citizenship for illegal immigrants,” Thomas said.

“SB 1070 will be fiercely challenged in the courts. It is imperative for Arizona to have an Attorney General that actually supports enforcingimmigration law,” he said.

Previously, Tom Horne proposed his own plan to give amnesty and citizenship to illegal immigrants. The East Valley Tribune reported on February 14, 2007 that Horne has a “plan” to grant American citizenship to illegal immigrants who meet certain educational requirements.  Similar positions for the other three liberals in the race are well documented.

“Tom Horne’s amnesty plan for illegal immigrants is a slap in the face to law abiding people around the world who have applied for visas and waited in line to immigrate to America legally,” Thomas said.

“Many families have sacrificed and been patient in their plans to immigrate to America so that they could do so the right way, procuring a visa and entering legally.”

During Thomas’ time in office, crime rates plummeted.  The 19 percent drop is more than twice the national rate of decline, in despite of an 11 percent increase in the county’s population during that time.  The illegal immigrant population has dropped by anywhere from 18 percent (Dept. of Homeland Security estimate) to 30 percent (Center for Immigration Studies estimate). Like the fall in crime rates, this dramatic decline in illegal immigration is far greater than the average in the rest of the nation.

Thomas has a track record of successfully defending illegal immigration crackdowns in our courts, including his successful efforts to prosecute illegal immigrants for conspiring to violate the state’s human-smuggling law and to defend Prop 200′s voter ID requirements and the employer-sanctions law, which he defended along with the Attorney General’s Office.

If elected Attorney General Thomas has pledged to expand that office’s prosecutions of illegal immigrants under the state’s human smuggling laws. The office is not currently pursuing such prosecutions.

Thomas’ office successfully prosecuted the Baseline Killer and Serial Shooting suspects.  During his tenure he has pushed for harsher penalties against child predators and, more recently, launched an innovative program to restore Gila River habitat and pursue charges against environmental pollution there.

Thomas is married with four children.  He is a graduate of Harvard Law School.  Prior to serving as Maricopa County Attorney, Thomas served as an assistant attorney general for Arizona, deputy counsel and criminal justice policy advisor to the Governor, special assistant to the Director of the Arizona Department of Corrections, and a deputy county attorney.

Glendale needs to protect taxpayers when considering Coyotes’ future

by Carrie Ann Sitren
Goldwater Institute

Glendale City Council members could use a cold splash of water – perhaps with the hockey ice from Jobing.com Arena – if they finalize a deal with potential new Phoenix Coyotes team owner Jerry Reinsdorf. Council members signed a non-binding agreement earlier this month to allow Reinsdorf to sell the team in five years if it doesn’t turn a profit. Why does that matter? Because the deal also potentially requires city taxpayers to pony up $165 million for the private sports franchise. It’s a lose-lose for taxpayers and hockey fans alike.

Surprisingly, the City rejected another deal proposed by Ice Edge Holdings, which would have asked fans to pay more of the Coyotes’ operating expenses through a ticket surcharge and parking fees. Ice Edge owners also committed to making Jobing.com Arena the team’s permanent home. The City could have signed agreements with both groups and continued negotiating, but it inexplicably gave Reinsdorf the nod and sent Ice Edge packing.

Reinsdorf insists the City guarantee up to $100 million to cover his losses and demands the right to abandon the arena lease after five years with no penalties. The other $65 million might come from taxpayer-backed bonds whose proceeds would be paid to the National Hockey League on Reinsdorf’s behalf. It’s the kind of one-sided deal Reinsdorf has been known to drive. In 1983, when he threatened to move the Chicago White Sox from Illinois to Florida if taxpayers didn’t build him a new stadium, Reinsdorf explained, “a savvy negotiator creates leverage.”

But Glendale has the leverage here, and it is time for council members to start exercising it. The City owns Jobing.com Arena where the Coyotes currently play. Although the NHL could make Reinsdorf the new team owner, the City can choose not to lease the arena to him if his demands are out of line, as they appear to be now. In fact, the City cannot lease to him if he requires a subsidy because that violates Arizona’s Constitution. Glendale officials need to let this savvy negotiator know that the interest of taxpayers, not billionaire sports team owners, is all the leverage they need.

Republic pushes boycott of Arizona

So far the much talked about boycott of Arizona over SB 1070 just isn’t happening.  This hasn’t stopped the media from covering the topic excessively.  Our local paper is busy pushing the boycott too, as evidenced by their front page article today

The Republic really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to cobble this story together.  They cite a meeting cancellation by the American Immigration Attorney’s Association, who are probably annoyed that their client base of illegal aliens is being deported.   They talk about officials from the City of San Francisco, as if anyone here cares what they think.  And of course there is open borders Spanish language newspaper La Opinion.  They also talk about a few facebook pages.

None of this is at all surprising coming from these left-wing groups, but when you’re hot to gin up a boycott, they’ll have to do.  Maybe the Republic and media colleagues are so desperate to see this go somewhere because they think Arizona should be boycotted over the law, which they opposed, or maybe they’re just annoyed that nobody listens to them anymore.

Either way, there’s no mistaking the fact that this boycott business is not a grassroots movement but an invention of the media which, no coincidence, hates SB 1070.

The End of Buz Mills’ Campaign

As one of our newest writers pointed out Saturday in a post exposing Buz Mills and his legal problems, today, Arizona Capitol Times reporter Jeremy Duda also exposes the past legal problems of the now gubernatorial candidate:

According to court documents, Mills bilked John Mortellite out of several million dollars by arranging the sale of OPM-USA, Inc. without telling Mortellite, then buying out Mortellite’s 10-percent share of the company for much less than it was worth. Mills and his wife, Sonja, owned 90 percent of the communications company.

It all started in 1997 when Mills began talks with American Tower L.P. to sell OPM-USA, which he ultimately sold for $105 million. But he bought out Mortellite for just $1.5 million, according to court documents, without telling him about American Tower’s offer or disclosing OPM’s full value. Mills even told Mortellite to extend a vacation for several weeks to keep him from finding out about the negotiations with American Tower.

When Mortellite returned from vacation, Mills fired him. Later, at an Aug. 1997 board meeting, Mortellite agreed to leave the company and take the buyout based on an incorrect assumption about the company’s value, according to court documents. Mills didn’t tell Mortellite about American Tower’s offer, even when Mortellite’s attorney asked at the board meeting whether OPM was involved in any pending transactions.

Mortellite filed suit in Florida’s 12th Judicial Circuit, where a trial court judge ruled that Mills fraudulently induced Mortellite to sign away his shares of OPM.

An expose like this is oftentimes devastating to a major political candidate. During times like these when corruption can mean the end of a political career, Mills’ attempt to storm the 9th floor with the theme of not being a politician has fallen flat on its face.

Don’t be surprised to Mills’ campaign fumble and pull out of the game we call Arizona politics.

Jim Deakin, helping McCain get re-elected?

The countdown for candidates filing with the Election Services starts April 26th and the last day to file is at 5 p.m. on May 26. With this deadline in mind…one starts to think about the candidates running and who should “fold” up shop and decide where to shift their support to, etc.

John McCain has been losing his political foothold in Arizona since January of this year. He picked up 53% of the potential GOP Primary vote at that point, whereas Hayworth had about 31% support. Now THESE TWO are so close in percentages that it could go either way. On April 16th Rasmussen telephone polls reported McCain at 47% and Hayworth at 42%; realistically thats within the margin of error. Two percent (2%) of that same poll preferred some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) were undecided. I’m assuming that the 2%  who preferred another candidate were supporting Jim Deakin, aka the “other JD” and the self designated “Tea Party Candidate”.

Results of a GOP Straw Poll performed on January 16 had shown that Jim Deakin was leading all registered candidates and a subsequent press release claimed that he “was in a great position to perform probably the biggest upset in Arizona politics”. It is now April 26th and most non-politically active voters that I have talked to have still never heard of Deakin or the groups that have officially endorsed him. They have however heard of JD Hayworth and John McCain. [Read more...]

Smart Girl Politics Border Clean-Up Photos

To those who still don’t believe we have a border security AND environmental problem, here are the photos to prove it. These were taken by Cactus Bill on Saturday at the border near Bisbee.

Smart Girl Politics hosted a special border clean-up in honor and memory of Rancher Rob Krentz.

As you can see the illegal aliens who cross our border leave quite a mess behind.

Clark Silver to Appear on LD-12 Senate Ballot

For Immediate Release: Sunday, April 25, 2010

(LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ) – Small-government conservative Republican Arizona State Senate challenger in Legislative District 12 Clark Silver has submitted the requisite number of nominating signatures and $5 forms to be on the August 24 primary ballot and receive public funding.  While Clark has submitted more than enough signatures to qualify for a position on the August 24th Republican Primary ballot, he will continue to visit with voters and collect additional signatures prior to the May 26th deadline.

Silver entered the race to give legislative district 12 voters a true small-government conservative choice in the Republican primary. His incumbent opponent has a more moderate voting record and has been weak on border security and illegal immigration. Clark Silver desires to give the constituents of LD-12 a reliable voice in the Senate whereas the incumbent’s most recent performance reflected missing 20% of the votes in 2009.

The incumbent has also voted to over-regulate business throughout his tenure in the House and Senate.  Clark Silver believes that placing burdensome regulations on the economy, especially in the middle of a downturn, is a recipe for a slow recovery.  He also supports reducing the business personal property tax to attract more businesses to Arizona to provide more jobs to the state’s suffering jobless.

Clark Silver is a realtor and a small businessman with an understanding of the burdens government places on businesses. He has served on a charter school board and is also running for the Agua Fria High School Board. Clark and his wife, Julie, have been married 16 years and have one daughter.

Arizona Hispanic Republicans React To SB 1070 And We View It As An Attack Against Our Civil Rights

For Immediate Release: Friday, April 23, 2010 – 1330 hours

Phoenix, AZ – Arizona Hispanic Republicans believe that it is unfortunate for Jan Brewer to support Pearce’s bill. The greatest leaders in our nation had courage, and we believe that Brewer made her decision in an effort to save her political career. Jan Brewer’s decision will mark today as the day in which Hispanic Americans will follow the footsteps of the Great Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. Pearce and Brewer do not see the unintended consequences of their actions, and it appears that they were willing to make decisions that affect us at the cost of trampling on our Constitutional Rights.

We believe this party was founded by Abraham Lincoln, a man who was instrumental in doing away with evils towards people of color. We must never forget the price Abraham paid with his own life, and for that we at least owe a fight to bring this party back to our true roots. Later, the Republican Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. picked up Abe’s mantle and helped fight the injustice of racism. Republicans in that era fought to free blacks from slavery, which gave people of color freedoms and citizenship.

It is unfortunate that our own members of the Republican Party believe that we have to trample on our Constitution in order to “enforce our laws.” We believe that Pearce is easing the requirements for “probable cause” and his attempt in expanding our government. What Pearce’s bill proves is that he does not have the answer for illegal immigration within the confines of the American Constitution, and in fact he is not solving the problem by creating more problems.

We believe United States Hispanic citizens have a right to be safe in their person from illegal searches and seizures, and we believe Pearce’s efforts are violating that. SB 1070 is a direct slap in the face to Hispanic Americans who have fought and died for several American wars because this new law can be abused by authorities to pull us over with mere “reasonable suspicion”.

That said, and even though we are taking a stance against Jan Brewer and Russell Pearce’s law, we are ultimately holding President Obama accountable. Obama promised Hispanics that he would pass immigration reform within 90 days of his Presidency. Had Obama carried out his promises to Hispanics last year, the Hispanic community would not be experiencing the crisis we are experiencing right now. There has been recent criticism over our Senator John McCain because John McCain probably feels he cannot win the primary elections due to his previous stances on championing immigration reform and the consistent untrue attacks by Hayworth. It is understandable on why McCain believes he is in the fight of his life. For the record, Senator McCain has taken action in the past while Obama has not. McCain’s valuable experience contributed to Americans winning the Iraq war. The problem is this: There are more Latinos registered as Democrats in the State of Arizona that cannot vote for McCain in the primary elections and McCain wants to win. How can these hypocritical democrat leaders lay blame to the McCain when at the very least McCain has action to back his words? Why aren’t Democrat leaders holding Obama’s feet to the fire? Hispanics are more aligned with Republican values because of our social conservative values and our belief in the Creator; and if Hispanics want to make a real change to help change the face of our Party to bring it back to the Party of Abraham Lincoln, then I call upon all Latinos (Democrat and Independent) to register themselves as Republicans in order to bring it back to those roots.

Hispanic families are agonizing over this issue. Russell Pearce has not articulated a proactive approach to what will happen to American born children and their welfare as they are ripped apart from their parents. In fact, Russell Pearce believes that children born of illegal immigrants should not be declared as citizens.

Arizona Hispanic Republicans will not vote for Jan Brewer this year because we are holding her accountable for supporting a bill that violates the Constitution and our Civil Rights. I have sounded the alarm to all Republicans in this state that the passing of this bill is political suicide.

The State of Arizona already has a blemish because we were the last state of the Union to recognize Martin Luther King as an official holiday. Arizona Hispanic Republicans will write an open letter to our RNC Chair, Michael Steele, as he continues to consider where to hold our next 2011 GOP convention. We will caution our RNC Chair to consider the consequences of that because then it could be perceived as rewarding the state that implemented strong anti-Hispanic laws that has rattled our community and our Civil Rights.

Sovereign State Duty to Protect Its People

Whether you like her or not, Governor Jan Brewer did the right thing by signing Senate Bill 1070, an act strengthening Arizona’s ability to protect itself and its citizens from illegal immigrants.

Contrary to President Obama’s socialist rhetoric that the act is misguided and would undermine the notions of fairness, the bill does exactly the opposite.  It is not discriminatory . . . except against illegal immigrants.

What one has to acknowledge is any notion of fairness in this country was discarded when Mr. Obama stripped bondholders of their assets in General Motors and Chrysler and turned ownership over to the United Auto Workers, an organization that certainly did not earn or deserve ownership.

The Arizona act prevents any city or county or other political subdivision from limiting enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws. The federal government is responsible for border security. However, when the federal government abdicates its responsibility to secure the borders, it is the responsibility of the State to protect its citizens.

Once the illegal immigrant passes through the border, the illegal immigrant becomes a State issue as well as federal issue. The State of Arizona has a right, an obligation, a duty to protect its citizens, especially when the federal government refuses to do so.

Mr. Obama now threatens the people of Arizona with his Justice Department by examining the “civil rights and other implications” of the new law. Mr. Obama would be better off to provide comprehensive border security. What about every citizens’ right to be free from harm caused by illegal immigrants?  Too bad Robert Krentz, Arizona rancher, cannot ask this question. He was murdered by an illegal immigrant who was tracked back into Mexico.

If the federal government refuses to protect the border and attempts to limit the State’s ability to protect itself, in violation of federalism and State sovereignty, each and every border State will seriously have to consider the option of secession. The U.S. Constitution is silent on the subject, meaning the power to secede is reserved to the States or the people through the Tenth Amendment.

Arpaio supporting Bill Montgomery for County Attorney

A m e r i c a n  P o s t – G a z e t t e

A letter Sheriff Joe Arpaio sent out to his supporters

Arpaio Juggernaut gets behind Montgomery, reminds voters to put the recycled County Attorney in the blue trash can!

We have a very grave problem that has arisen in Maricopa County that strikes at the very heart and soul of our battle to stop the flood of illegal aliens flowing into our country every day.

The County Board of Supervisors that has done everything from cutting my budgets $1.6 million dollars to stop me from investigating illegal immigration to failing to supply life-saving equipment and patrol cars to my deputies has now betrayed the Republican Party by appointing an interim County Attorney who has openly opposed me and every program that I have worked so hard to put together.

This move is a further blatant attempt to undermine and frustrate investigations into the Supervisors own suspected wrongdoing.  The Board’s appointee has gone so far as to encourage inmates during a riot, putting my deputies in harm’s way.  He has already publicly denounced my efforts to stop the terrible impact of illegal immigration in our County and has called my efforts to enforce our laws against illegal immigration “McCarthyism.”

His name is Richard Romley.

This charlatan Republican candidate must be defeated at all costs in the Maricopa County special election for county attorney!

Romley has betrayed Republican values and openly and aggressively supported Democrat candidates for higher office.  He will do it again in this election cycle.  HE IS A TRUE “RINO” (Republican In Name Only).  When the race is important, Romley always endorses the Democrats time and time again.  Even more disturbing is the fact that Romley worked for Liberal Democrat Terry Goddard as Goddard’s Lobbyist and Special Advisor up until the week before the Board of Supervisors appointed him.  As Goddard’s Special Advisor, Romley was paid $130,000 in the last two years alone.  Who do you think Romley will be working for in this year’s Governor’s race with Goddard as the Liberal Democrat nominee?  Romley’s election to this office would be one of the biggest tragedies for the future of our state.

Thank God there is a candidate for us to stand behind and support.  A great and highly qualified candidate I refer to is Bill Montgomery.  We must help this man win the office of Maricopa County Attorney at all costs or I am out of business in the fight to secure our borders.

Let me tell you that Bill Montgomery is not only a seasoned and highly experience prosecutor with hundreds and hundreds of felony cases under his belt, he is also a West Point graduate and decorated Veteran of the first Gulf War.  He is a family man who possesses the highest honor and integrity.  He is a steadfast supporter of our fight against illegal immigration.

Bill Montgomery needs your help now.  I have pledged to him my unwavering support and he is the man that must take us to the next step in our fight.  The open-borders candidate Romley will do everything that he can to quickly dismantle all the progress that we have made to fulfill his own personal agenda and that of the Board of Supervisors.  If he does, crime will go back up in Maricopa County and impact our entire community. WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN.  NOT NOW.  NOT EVER.

This will be the most urgent and necessary campaign donation that you have ever made in your life.  Bill Montgomery needs the financial support now to win this election.  Not next month, not next year.  Early voting begins in just 90 days (the primary election will be held August 24, 2010) and there is nothing more crucial than that he beat this open borders opponent.

Please send your support for Bill Montgomery today.  We need to get the word out that Montgomery is the true Republican and true conservative in this primary.

I want to thank you for your support in my efforts to lead the fight against illegal immigration in our state and nation.  This week the State of Arizona will be the home of the toughest immigration law in the country.  We cannot take any steps backward and Bill Montgomery will lead the charge in the prosecutor’s office for our efforts to fight illegal immigration in Maricopa County.

This request I am making of you is beyond urgent.  We need help for bill now.  I pledge to you that I will put all of my efforts into supporting Bill Montgomery to win the Maricopa County Attorney election.  Voting starts in just 90 days!  Please pass this message on to everyone you know.  We cannot lose this battle.  If Bill Montgomery loses, we all lose and we lose for many years to come.

Will you join me in this fight?

Your contribution today of $410 (the maximum), $300, $200, $100 or even $50 today is critical towards helping Bill Montgomery become the next Maricopa County Attorney.  I need your help now.

I have enclosed a contribution card and envelope for your use.  I cannot thank you enough for your past support and hope you will join me again this time.

Click here to contribute to Bill Montgomery online.

Sincerely,

Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Republican PC’s: throw Rick Romley’s petitions in the garbage

Rumor is that recycled county attorney Rick Romley has sent out a letter to Republican precinct committeemen asking for them to collect petition signatures for him.  Romley may not have a Republican bone in his body, but he sure has nerve.

This is a man that has consistently endorsed liberal Democrats over conservative Republicans.  He was completely worthless in fighting illegal immigration while in office.  He’s been even worse out of office, calling efforts to fight illegal immigration “McCarthyism” and blasting Senate Bill 1070, which was signed by our Republican Governor and supported by every Republican legislator except RINO Carolyn Allen.  For the past three years, Romley has been a lobbyist and special adviser for liberal AG Terry Goddard.  All this leaves no doubt where Romley’s political sympathies lie.

Romley has not been there for other Republicans when they needed support.  Now he expects the party to rally behind him?

If you do receive a petition from Romley and a letter asking for you to collect signatures for him, please put it where it belongs–in the garbage.  Romley is UNWORTHY of your support, he’s just NOT a Republican.

Whats the “Buz” all about in Arizona?

If you live in Arizona, you most likely have seen the political TV advertisements from “Buz Mills”, a multi-millionaire, who is running for Governor. He also placed ads on the jumbo-tron at the Tempe Tea Party on April 15th in an effort to show support for the Tea Party movement. Nonetheless, he has manifested out of nowhere and decided to run for public office. In todays political environment, many people like the idea of a “regular Joe” running for office. The release of Mr. Mills’ campaign report was the first time that anyone had really heard of him and the fact that he announced he was bringing $2.1 million to the table for his campaign threw many folks back wondering if he could be a real contender for Governor. What we publicly know of him is that he is a member of the National Rifle Association’s board of directors, and he is the owner of a company called Gunsite (which operates a 2,000 acre weapons training site). As with any newcomer into the political arena we should always try to do our research and see who we are really dealing with. We need the truth about every candidate to surface so that we can make the right decision come voting time. In this case, John McCain is right…character does matter.
