John Fund on John McCain

In John McCain’s recent radio ad being aired across the State of Arizona, McCain uses John Fund to tout his “conservatism.” Here’s a video clip of the Wall Street Journal’s John Fund speaking about John McCain.

  1. Thank you! This clip does nothing to discount the John Fund ad and everything to show just how deep the JD lovers must go to try and discredit the truth.

To paraphrase JD, “clearly” lame and desperate.

  2. Pragmatic Conservative says:

Has anyone really looked at the “conservative” JD record?

    1. JD Hayworth Joins Future Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel to strike a blow against State Sovereignty(Rogers of Michigan Amendment, Roll Call 393, 7/20/05).
    2. Christmas break instead of tough illegal immigration enforcement. JD voted against Franks, Flake, Shadegg and with Grijalva, Pelosi, Barney Franks and more..(Roll Call 636, Dec 15, 2005)
    3. JD votes against Personal Privacy and against Flake, Shadegg and Franks.(Flake Amendment no. 8 8 July 21, 2005, Roll Call 408)
    4. JD votes to blame oil industry for high prices. Voting against were his fellow Arizona Congressman(Roll Call vote April 21, 2005)
    5. JD Hayworth Votes for more Taxes and Federal Government Control even though the majority of Republicans opposed it.(Roll Call 376, 7/14/05)
    6. JD Hayworth votes with Grijalva, Barney Franks, Pelosi, Rangel and Waxman to prohibit the GSO from using inexpensive eTravel Services program for Government employees travel. Voting in opposition was Franks, Flake and Shadegg.( Velazquez of New York Amendment, Roll Call 336, June 30, 2005)

Is JD a conservative or a Maverick RINO? You really need to start looking at JD’s record for yourselves and not what others parrot.

  3. Hmm. I must have seen a different clip. The Fund story about the snuggy inner-circle quality of the McCain birthday party by the MSM elites of the uber media connected level of Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw is pretty devastating.

  4. This clip had no information, no relevancy on the subject. John Fund sees and hears a lot of things about John McCain, but not all of them turn out to be true or substantive. Roll tape.

  5. ……………….
“John Fund sees and hears a lot of things about John McCain, but not all of them turn out to be true or substantive. Roll tape.”
    ………..

So, going by that comment, McCain doesn’t have any credibility using John Fund as a reference in his radio ad.

  6. Interesting that McCain’s August 29th Birthday was being celebrated in July. With Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, and Peter Jennings.

Seems to me that John Fund is recalling a dream he had. It’s only missing Abraham Lincoln and a gopher.

  7. Considering John McCain is touting a quote from John Fund on his latest campaign ad, this clip is extremely relevant. In fact, the above video clip is so damaging to McCain and his latest radio ad, I’m surprised Team McCain hasn’t pulled the ad like they did the Snakes in Guam radio ad that I exposed. (Arizona Republic, Arizona Guardian, Capitol Times, do your fact-checking job!)

But that’s OK. Team McCain can keep burning that campaign money while their polling numbers continue to drop.

Like I’ve been saying, we can do this the easy way (retire) or we can do this the hard way (primary knockout).

P.S. – McCain can celebrate his birthday anytime he wants and with whoever he wants regardless of the actual birthday date and the bizarreness of the occasion.

  8. Shane,

This clip and the post fell flat. It got nowhere fast….your P.S. comment can’t make it stronger or relevant. But, hey… good try!

An ten year old “tale” about a “birthday party” in Washington, a full month before his real birthday…that is what you want to use to discredit the very recent John Fund statement that supports McCain?

YOWZA….You have been very honest in saying you are being paid to do this stuff for JD and I am honestly happy for you..but this one is a non-starter.

    …………

Didn’t Fund explain that? Part of the odd-ball quality was that it WASN’T McCain’s birthday, so Fund was wondering what was going on.

Honestly, are there two clips and half the people are watching one and the other half are watching another?

  10. Apparently not many people are watching at all.

  11. Arizona for McCain says:

apparently those voting for JD have NO idea what he stands for, what he is about, his lack of intelligence or lack of moral standings what so ever…AZ needs McCain, without McCain we stand no chance fighting this administration-

  12. Let’s see, I should vote for McCain because of his intelligence and moral standing. If I recall from his presidential campaign, he acknowledged that he knows little of economics. Real bright fellow. Oh, as for moral integrity, I believe he left his first wife for Cindy and what about his association with Charles Keating and the Savings and Loan debacle. Wow! Fine axample of character. I’m certain we can count on McCain to fight the Obama administration on amnesty for illegals…NOT
