This is old news to the Mormons. When Higley High school first opened, they tried to conduct their release time seminary classes in a private home close to the School, while the building was being built across the street. They were denied by the same ruling. Keep in mind that when the school was new and not all grades in place, these classes were typically 10-15 students or less per period.

Don’t assume that our elected officials actually have read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution as explained in the Federalist Papers and the Bill of Rights. In my conversations with many elected officials they have not read them or cannot speak to them as written.

According to the article, Gilbert now has 200,000 residents? Is that a typo? But at any rate, it indicates a steady and sizable influx of new people, and with that evidently a shift in attitudes.

I can remember when Gilbert was such a hick town that a crowd of seven people was a mob scene. Too bad, it was kind of a fun place then.

No only does the Gilbert City Council want to tax their people to death they want to prevent them from praying to God for relief while they take their money. One would hope the folks in Gilbert know the word recall.

If they were only as quick to ban meth lab and druggie gatherings, but that community destructive organizing isn’t as easy to shut down as a mundane and open gathering of lawful citizens trying to be better people.
