And in the inner battles within District Eleven, Vernon has shown himself to be a stalwart McCaniac.

I know he’s taking the correct public stance on immigration….now but I smell a McCain “ringer”
to drain off conservative votes in the primary.

I could well be mistaken, but this is one horse who, as the cliche says, should be looked in the mouth!

Mr. C, I don’t blame you for trying to push McCain off on Munger. And it would be a good fit. Six figure salaries for teachers would be a policy right up McCain’s ally.

Parker’s opposition to the Arizona Civil Rights Initiative must be what drew the McAmnesty camp to Parker’s big announcement at Politics On The Rocks. (Boy, you can say that again!)

Like I said, I think it’s wonderful you are sold on Parker. You’re right. Parker is practically stepping down from the White House to the Governor’s office. Absolutely. I stand corrected. He is goiong to be a great governor! You just keep putting your effort and resources into Vernon Parker and that John something from Tucson. Please.

It struck me that we have a case of Twain-esque “history rhyming” here. When Sarah Palin was named as McCain’s running mate, the legacy media conveniently carved large chunks of her resume out of the public narrative, referring to her nearly ubiquitously as “the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska”. Vernon Parker has served in the administrations of both Presidents Bush (including time as a Special Assistant to Bush 41). Sarah Palin came from very humble beginnings but achieved some pretty astonishing successes, as has Vernon Parker. To make it all the way from the poverty of “the street” to the White House is no small accomplishment. The left and the legacy media (a redundancy – I know) were scared to death of Sarah Palin, so they focused exclusively on her being the mayor of a small town. I see a little bit of history repeating.

Parker has the skinniest resume’ of any gubernatorial hopeful in memory. Mayor of one Arizona’s tiniest towns. That would be some big leap to the 9th floor. Is there more than one zip code in Paradise Valley? Why would we turn the problem of solving Arizona’s fiscal train wreck over to a novice like Vernon Parker? I’m actually glad to see McCain’s minions jumping on the Parker bandwagon. Just glad they didn’t pick a viable candidate.
