Turn off NBC and tell them why

Many of you know that NBC refused to air and incredibly positive pro-life commercial during the Super Bowl. The ad, promoted by Catholicvote.org can be seen on Youtube and is below.
So what to do?
Here is a modest suggestion. Call the local NBC affiliate and politely tell them that you will no longer be watching any NBC programming. Tell them that you are going to pass the word to everyone you know. Then explain that if the local affiliate will pick up the ad and run it for a week or two during the NBC Nightly News, you will consider that the local folks should not suffer for what the Corporate heads did.
Then follow up with an email to the NBC folks in New York and tell them how bigoted and prejudiced they are against African Americans who face terrible odds just to be born.
Remind them that if they are afraid to show the truth, they are not worth watching.
Then call a few advertisers and tell them that you a re no longer going to watch NBC.
Will it take a little effort? Yes.
And the reason that the effort will be worth it, is because you are speaking out in defense of life.

A grassroots boycott is fine, but let’s go a step further and be more direct.
Is there a list of local companies that advertise on CH12 here that could be contacted by AZRTL to let the local advertisers know they should take there business elsewhere?
This is a great idea because the decisions advertisers make to use one station over another are only roughly based on ratings, and often on hunches and gut. An in this economy, even just a few companies suddenly not renewing their ads will send the station into a tailspin.

yeah sorry not going to happen the office is on NBC…
Also NBC did not allow a PETA ad to go up either during the superbowl. NBC was trying to be neutral and not allow anything political. It is their right to do that, and it is your right to not watch them. But this sounds like a waste of time

Wait… This is the same Sonoran Alliance blog which was all like “Ooooh! Those gays are boycotting a business because one of their employees donated to cause they didn’t like. That’s 1. unfair, 2. un-American, 3. facistic, 4. all of the above!” right?
You just crank that hypocrite knob up to 11.

I love the “neutral” argument. Go ahead and straddle the fence, you’ll just get a sore crotch.
The weird thing about that CA restaurant is that they catered to homosexuals, in the report I read, then were perceived as being anti-homosexual. That’s less of a “gay” issue than one of hypocrisy, which is probably why the media made so much of it.
So Klute is partially right, but I am confused about his reference to fascism.
Yeah, I didn’t see any PETA ad, nor any about feminine hygiene products or ED stuff. Just decent ads for beer.

To be fair, you’d have to boycott all General Electric and NBC Universal products, services and entertainment outlets.
Go check your light bulbs and make sure GE didn’t make them. Good luck with that.
