Tedski at RRR is reporting that Sharon Bronson has a challenger in the Democratic primary. Of the three supervisor districts held by Democrats Bronson’s district is the most vulnerable to a Republican challenge. In 2000 the GOP candidate came within 1,500 votes. District 3 is the largest in the county, going along the Mexico border extending west of Ajo. Growth in Southwest Tucson and Marana have brought lots of new voters into the district.
Will Pima County Republicans be able to take advantage of this golden opportunity? Good question.
